Series ZB – Belt-Driven Linear Actuators for Vertical Motion and Cartesian Gantries

The ZB Series has been specifically developed for applications where the aluminum profile moves while the carriage remains fixed, such as vertical axes in Cartesian gantries, lifting modules, and linear motion systems with an inverted operating configuration.

These belt-driven linear actuators are designed to deliver smooth, consistent, and reliable motion, even when handling significant loads.

The structure is manufactured from high-rigidity anodized aluminum extrusion, providing a self-supporting design suitable for direct installation on machines and multi-axis systems.

Motion is transmitted through a polyurethane timing belt reinforced with steel tensile cords, ensuring precise and repeatable linear movement over time. A preloaded recirculating ball guide system provides excellent stability, wear resistance, and long service life, even in continuous-duty applications.

The ZB Series is particularly well suited for vertical axes, Cartesian gantries, and handling systems where reducing moving mass while maintaining overall structural rigidity is a key requirement.

Its modular design and simplified construction facilitate integration into complex automation systems, delivering high performance with minimal maintenance.

Available in three sizes — 40, 65, and 80 mm — the ZB Series can be combined with other LX Automation product families to create complete multi-axis systems, supported by a wide range of motor flanges, mounting accessories, and dedicated assembly kits.
